Borders, Truth, and the Future – Interlude

Just hours after I posted Part 2 of this series, we are now seeing the very scenario many of us feared unfold:

Thailand has closed the borders.

Not because of war. Not because of aggression. But because Cambodia refused to negotiate on what must be judged by law.

We chose to take four disputed points—Ta Moan Thom, Ta Moan Toch, Ta Krabei, and Mum Bei—to the International Court of Justice.

We did so calmly, legally, and with dignity.

And now, instead of dialogue or trust in law, we are seeing border closures, accusations, and pressure.

Let me be clear:

Cambodia has not escalated. Cambodia has acted with maturity.

The path we’ve chosen is slow—but it is just.

It is not always easy to stay calm when others move fast, or loud. But it is the right thing to do.

I’ll continue the series shortly. But today, I just want to say this:

Let’s not fall into fear or anger. Let’s hold steady. Let’s stay united.

The world is watching—not just who is right, but how we behave when we are right.
